Title: Airbrush Advice Sought
Post by: Adam1701D on March 21, 2014, 10:11:14 PM
I'm toying with the idea of getting an airbrush set up to aid in the production of RTR Electra items, as well as a few of my own projects.

I already have a "Clarke Wiz Air" Compressor and a cheapo airbrush that came with a spray can of compressed air. problem is I don't have anything to connect the two and have no idea how to proceed.

The compressor end looks like this...

I assume I will need some sort of double-ended adaptor and will have a look around at Ally Pally tomorrow for inspiration.

Any advice gratefully accepted!

That looks like it has a 'quick coupler' fitting, so make sure your hose has one.

I use the hose from one of the cheap kits you can get - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wolf-5-Piece-Spray-Air-Tool-Compressor-Kit-with-5m-Air-Hose-Spray-Gun-Blow-Gun-/370862705186?pt=UK_Air_Tools_and_Compressors&hash=item565923ca22 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wolf-5-Piece-Spray-Air-Tool-Compressor-Kit-with-5m-Air-Hose-Spray-Gun-Blow-Gun-/370862705186?pt=UK_Air_Tools_and_Compressors&hash=item565923ca22)

Although, I'd highly recommend using this for going outside, as this is what I use on the car etc - http://www.screwfix.com/p/metabo-sa100-air-hose-20m/86059 (http://www.screwfix.com/p/metabo-sa100-air-hose-20m/86059)
