For those of us who don't/won't have BT Sports, on Monday night 8pm-9pm on ITV4 - MotoGP highlights from Qatar.
I hope they show all 3 classes as I consider Moto2 and Moto3 more exciting but think I won't be so lucky.
I hope, however, this will be a season long scheduling by ITV4 and, added to their British Superbike coverage, makes it prime viewing for this ex biker :laugh3:
Brilliant! I love watching F1, but MotoGP has it beaten by miles. As the book (almost) has it, four wheels good, two wheels even better.
YAY!
Just logged in for the first moto3 session... :claphappy:
And just for laughs - and 'best of' fights during rain delays - nothing beats NASCAR :smiley-laughing:
Sorry F1 - great drivers, shame about the rest of it :censored:

Thanks for that, I've had withdrawal symptons since last year.

:hellosign:
I have Virgin Cable and with my TV package I get BT Sports 1 &2 I have been watching the MotoGP to day,the coverage is really good,re Formula 1 I watch it on BBC. :tv:
I don't know which side has the better eye candy BBC Suzi Perry,BT Melene Sykes :hmmm:,no wonder I have to go for a echo cardiogram next month. :)
Mike :Class31:
I enquired about adding BT sports to my Virginmedia package, but I am only interested in the MotoGP coverage so I won't pay £15.00 month extra just for that.
Allan
Same here guys I am on sky and I can't afford paying extra just for the Moto GP. Hope that coverage on itv4 is ok, the only other chance is get my son to pay for a sky upgrade.
I got BT Sport for free because we thought we were going to miss out on Premiereship football. But Sky Sports seems to have found a way round it and BT Sport looks like a washout by comparison. For instance - what ever would we do without the Claire Balding Show ?
And motor bike racing is too exciting on TV for 55 year olds and above. It has lured my brother, who never had more than a 250 BSA as a young guy, to buy an MV Augusta F4 and join the born again bikers. I had to look up what it was on the internet - he must have a death wish!!
That MV is a bike to dream about.
Allan
MV 350/500, Honda 4/6, Moto Guzzi, Harley Davidson................so many wonderful noises. Ahhh the sweet smell of nostalgia.
Wow that Mv Augusta is a dream bike alright. I sold my Honda CBR6 a while ago, not all born again bikers are the same, some can ride and some can't. It's the ones who can't and take chances that's why I decided to pack in. You can ride has safely as you want, its the other idiots that come round a corner on the wrong side of the road, not just bikers, boy racer's etc.Got myself a sporty set of four wheels instead nowadays, far safer, automatic too because I have a dodgy left leg, it sometimes gets locked up.
Nice see Rossi back up front in the fight to win.
I still find it incredible that riders and drivers seem to overcome pain and "disability" to ride. Although I know from my own time on the circuit the desire to be out there means you develope an incredibly high tolerance to pain. (Footballers please note a tap on the ankle doesn't need 2 minutes of rolling in agony) :'(
I remember chipping back plaster on a broken hand to give me enough movement to operate the front brake and even refusing to have an cracked ankle plastered as it would have meant missing championship races.
The old body doesn't think it was quite so wise now though some mornings. :)
A mate of mine broke his right ankle, and could not change gear on his old BSA due to the plaster, just before he set off for the TT. A bit of skip searching, for scrap metal, and some welding and panel bashing, resulted in a hand change conversion, and his trip to the TT was back on.
I have just watched the race tonight on ITV4, they did not show much of the moto2/3 races but it was nice to see Rossie up the front, although being beaten by the young Marquez with a broken leg( not sure if that is true) takes the biscuit.
Better than nothing I suppose, but two long advert breaks in it spoils it after the BBC coverage.
The continuity is broken and the commentators muttering in the back ground did nothing for it either.
At least I had enough sense to record it and fast forward through the adverts.
But many thanks Nobby for making us aware of it.
Allan
Yes Thanks Nobby it was better than nothing, I am not paying another £12 just for the motog., Just hope Dorner are satisfied with all the money they are getting from BT sport for the racing and hardly any fans watching it anymore.I do like Julian Ryder, he used to be with Toby Moody on Eurosport which I prefferd over the BBC. ie more info was supplied, and the coverage was great, it was a pity they had to delay showing the Moto Gp for a hour till the BBC had shown theirs.
Hi,
Great day for live racing - World Superbikes at Aragon, then MotoGP at Austin (already spent the last two days following free practice and qualifying there!), proper racing with loud race engines, fabulous circuits - must wait 'til nearer lunchtime to start on the beers... :bounce:

For anyone in the same boat as me - the Austin GP highlights will be shown on ITV4 Monday night, so it does indeed look as if this will be a season long showing :)
I'm no fan of Julian Ryder but it is great to hear Keith Huewen doing commentary again :D
