Title: Brian O'Driscoll
Post by: Greybeema on March 08, 2014, 02:09:16 PM
If you are interested in rugby - today marks what will probably be the last International played on his home soil by Brian O'Driscoll.

I am lucky - (as a Englishman and England supporter) living in Dublin and being a Season Ticket holder at Leinster Rugby - I have seen the magic this man can weave on the pitch, befuddling and just damned right dazzling his opponents.  He is probably one of, if not the best Centre in the world.

I have also met him off the pitch and can say he is one of the most modest sportsman I have ever met..

Unfortunately I will not be in Lansdowne Road today but I will be in Paris next weekend - hopefully so will Brian for his last Irish International.

I have also met BOD (albeit briefly) and agree with everything that you have said about him Phil.

It will be a terrific atmosphere in France next weekend :envy:

Tomorrow is Brian O'Driscoll's last game on the big stage.

The Mighty Leinster Rugby take on Glasgow Warriors in the RaboPro12 Final in the RDS in Dublin.  This is the final game of a true legend of rugby.  It doesn't matter who you support (Club or Country) but what that man has achieved is astonishing...   :claphappy:  :claphappy:
