Title: Dapol boxed set blue grey mk.3 coaches
Post by: guest311 on March 08, 2014, 08:55:00 AM
found this listed on Hattons website as new release yesterday

http://www.ehattons.com/73285/Dapol_CM002_Mk3_book_set_with_4_coaches_in_blue_grey_with_buffers/StockDetail.aspx (http://www.ehattons.com/73285/Dapol_CM002_Mk3_book_set_with_4_coaches_in_blue_grey_with_buffers/StockDetail.aspx)

had a 'chat' with Morgan there this morning and he said that the set consists of 1 x 1st and 3 x standard coaches.

picture to be added soon to clarify. he wasn't able to physically check the item as it was in the warehouse, but info from Dapol website.

hope of some info to those who model the right era  ;)

This is the cancelled C&M Models ScotRail Mark 3A box set
The coaches have SC prefixes

You would also need a Farish 374-650 Mk2f DBSO in blue/grey to finish off the set which isn't available yet.

And will probably be in different shades of blue and grey when it is released.  :uneasy:

I already have one DBSO in Blue / Grey, thanks to Electra Graphics
Sadly the final item to complete the push-pull set will be the Class 47/7 locos

thought those were going to be in the scotrail blue stripe scheme, ie like regional, whereas these are listed as blue / grey.

C&M Models obtained quotes for two box sets
The first was Blue / Grey (basically just renumbering)
The second was ScotRail

Due to low pre-orders the Blue / Grey was cancelled
However, it looks like Dapol had already consigned it, so went elsewhere

That's fine as that's cheaper than what C&M Models were going to charge
I would to see the actual items as there have been some horrendous errors recently
However, if they are to the same standard as the ScotRail livery there won't be any issues as the research has been quite thorough
The only minor issue is the number font, but that seems to be the same applied to all their models in similar livieries, so at least you can read the number

Finally, I have my four Dapol (C&M Models) ScotRail box sets, went and collected them in person
Also inspected the Mark 3 buffets, decided upon the Executive version as this is easier to modify to the INTERCITY livery (TRFK and TRSB)
