Title: Brushing up on.......Miniature Britain
Post by: port perran on February 27, 2014, 07:57:37 PM
On BBC4 this evening at 8-30.
A vicar with a railway that runs to a real 1938 GW timetable but has a clock doctored to move at 8 times normal speed so a day of rail logistics takes 3 hours !
That is only part of the show but may be interesting. Includes model villages and subbuteo !

Same here!  :claphappy:  (SWMBO is watching something on C4 with Kirstie buying houses, so I can watch trains in peace later!)

Well I have watched it...  :hmmm:

I think it could've been just as funny if Danny Baker hadn't been the presenter - some of those people are what may be politely described as 'Great British Eccentrics'!  :o

A good walk through the archives of the BBC - I remembered a few of the programs, especially those with Bob Symes, who was a great presenter. Not too sure on this program though - but it will be worth watching the rest of the series - despite Denny Baker (who I have never been a big fan of! )

Too much waffle from Mr Baker and not enough up to date stuff, but like the others I will more than likely watch the rest of the series  ::)

cheers John.

I've never understood the BBC's (or ITV or whoever for that matter) with having so called celebrities hosting programmes.  I'd much rather have someone (however obscure) who knows what they are talking about.
