Friends, not sure where to post this but I have just (1) whole sheet of Sundeala board i.e. 4 x 2 feet.
Would anyone be interested in purchasing?
BUT!
The postage costs would be horrendous so it would likely be a home collection? I should think that a courier would also be too expensive?
Any ideas?
Peter.

Thankyou, but my biggest problem is storage space!
I would if I could because I can understand that reasoning very well!
It has to go! SWMBO is fed up with having under the bed!
Peter.
Good grief, Peter - have you got anything left at all? :worried:

Sounds like an incorrect problem definition. This will get you the wrong solution.
Hazarding a guess the real problem is SWMBO specifically objecting to railway stuff under the bed. Storage space doesn't really come into it because this is a people problem and people try to be objective about what is a subjective problem!! So what else is under the bed (only you need to know - not us)? Then you need to get rid of it all even if you chuck it away.
A 4ft x 2 ft piece of Sundeala really isn't so huge is it and it's value must be negligible? Not everyone shares the necessary enthusiasm for it to be under the bed.
When we first got married I had an electric law mower under the bed. That had to go too even if the smell reminded me of playing cricket

The ONLY way I can answer that is to say "Whatever turns you on!"
No, the real problem is not that it is railway stuff under the bed but more of the wrong item in the wrong place + it is surplus to requirements.
I am still desperately trying to get back into the Black!
Nobody likely to pass through Banbury on the M40 or past Daventry on the M1? I would happily bring to either place just to keep the peace!
Peter.
What would someone pay for a piece of secondhand 4 x 2 Sundeala? £5 ?
It will not make a big enough difference to get anyone back in the black nor be worth more than 10 seconds of aggro from SWMBO.
Throw it away and restore harmony at least IMHO.
PS. When first married we had a two bedroom semi bungalow with a bed on HP, a cooker being paid for on the electricity bill, two old chairs from a hospital waiting room, and two suitcases on their sides covered with wedding present table cloths as bedside tables. When the front lawn began to grow a mower was inevitable. We just lacked a garage, shed, or conservatory to keep it in. Under the bed you at least couldn't see it. Like your Sundeala Peter.

£5 might not mean much to you but is a Kings Ransom to me! Anyway, here I go hijacking my own thread! :dunce:

Sorry to hear that Peter. Hope you get things sorted out.
I suppose there's no point in suggesting you slice the board in half for use on a future 'shelf' layout, Peter?
At least it might stop SWMBO stubbing her toes on the board :D
Cut into neat pieces and make a gift of them as place mats for birthday/easter/mothers day or just a nice surprise, save you more than the £5 the board is worth. Wrap in some cheapo gift wrap with a bunch of flowers or daffs and hey presto you are "the man", milk tray as well if you are feeling flush but no jumping thro widows onto your layout. ;D
Oh I had the pleasure of Banbury Monday delivering to Bidvest just off M40 !

It needs a speedboat and a cat burglars suit to do it properly. Much more costly than the likely revenue from a bit of Sundeala.

Call yourself a friend? Drove right past without visiting me! Fine friend!! :bounce:
Thanks anyway, my days of leaping anywhere are far gone! Besides that tight suit makes me perspire!
Regards, Peter.
Tight suit shows bulges in wrong places, those days are long gone!
You near Bidvest then? Will call round next time, can I park 44 tonne artic on your drive ?
