Given that the outside framed 08 from Farish has NEM couplers has anyone tried fitting easi-shunt couplers to one and whether they work OK?
Have thoughts of a small shunting plank and the 08s I've got will be the easiest to convert.
Thanks,
Nigel
Fitted them in my Class 04 and they're fine, can't see that an 08 will be any different

I like the sound of this. Let us know how you get on!

Yup, got them fitted to my 08 (and every other loco, in fact) and they work fine. If anything the EasiShunt couplings seem work better in Farish stock due to the different type of centering mechanism used in Farish NEM coupling pockets.
I put them in both ends of my blue 08 and in my 04. While they are fine in the 04, the 08 couplers were a bit sloppy so I packed some tacky wax inside the coupler to add friction so they didn't magnetise and swing to one side or the other over points (and so not line up with the stock in the siding). This is the first time this has happened with any of my stock so don't worry, even in the unlikely event this does happen to you as well.
