Hello all,
We had the most recent batch of Dapol Panniers in stock yesterday and i believe i've noticed a fault with two of them...... The wrong cabs!
Item 2S-007-007 ( https://railsofsheffield.com/gwr-8750-pannier-tank-4607-br-black-early-crest-2s-007-007-JJJA25565.aspx ) Surely this should have the later style cab?
And item 2S-007-009 ( https://railsofsheffield.com/gwr-57xx-pannier-tank-5724-gwr-green-gwr-lettering-2s-007-009-JJJA25567.aspx ) Shouldn't this have the earlier style cab?
Can anyone confirm that these are incorrect?

Dean Forest Railway have a 57xx and in their write up on it they say that the later BR produced 57xxs have the square windows. So I would guess that GWR livery versions should have the round portholes at least. Any other cab error I'm not clever enough to spot.
Ollie,
Yes, they have the wrong cabs for the locos.
5724 should have the low arc-roof cab, 4607 the more rounded top one.
The other thing that I find mildly amusing about the dapol pannier is that dapol have used "see through" wheels as a pointer to the level of detail that they can attain on various models but the panniers do not have see through rear windows!!!

Could of course be that they have the wrong numbers for the locos ...

They had been advertised as the running numbers that were released since announcement.
