Title: Searching for a Layout......
Post by: ScottyStitch on February 19, 2014, 08:21:08 AM
Morning all

I'm trying to track down a layout that I saw in one of the main model railway magazines around about a year ago. It is n gauge/2mm and from what I recall featured scenery resembling the peak district. Identifying features would be a large rendition of Bradford Central station with a large glass roof (from memory) and a four track viaduct. From what I remember stock consisted included Peaks on long van trains, etc. and at least one A4 exiting Bradford Central.

I think it was a club layout, rather than an exhibition circuit one.

A bit vague, I know, but would anyone have any ideas as to what/where the layout is?

Many thanks

Scotty

I remember the very large glass roof so you are certainly not hallucinating. If I can recall it then it must be when I last did railway modelling before giving up for several years. That would have to make it about 1998. Now you need someone with a king sized memory for layout names or a copy of what would have had to have been Railway Modeller.

I'm guessing a bit here....was it a Pete Latham layout do you think?
