Title: Be cautious - possible glitch on rails of Sheffield
Post by: Woolleysh33p on February 15, 2014, 11:10:48 AM
 :hellosign:

Whilst proceeding to checkout on rails of Sheffield, I purchased the new jinty for £59.46. Great price. It said free delivery, but when I came to checkout, it said £63.97????????? I thought huh?

After, I backed out then purchased it again. This time it worked.

Just thought I'd let you all know and hopefully this was just a 1 off!

Best regards,

Joe

That is a difference of £4.51. Only thing i can think it could be would be if you had selected Recorded delivery on the shipping page, this is charged at £4.50. The free post offer on all Farish (and Bachmann if you model in OO as well) Locos is only applicable for standard First Class post (Usually priced at £4)

I just ordered the late crest Jinty with free postage and all the way through the process it was telling me the cost was £63.46 (i.e. postage of £4 added).
Only on the final (make payment) page did it revert to the total of £59.46.
