Unless my AdBlock Plus or NoScript is stopping it, I can't see any FB link on this page...

Thanks Will!  Yes, a fresh new page (although the old one is still working for now).  It's a much better format to use, and members seem to be enjoying it.

Of course, this forum is MUCH better to use.  :D

Especially if you don't have a login on Facebook, not all of us have.

And many of us don't want one either. I really don't understand why/how Facebook exists. Isn't it just like a large forum/chatroom within the internet where people think that others will be interested to hear what they had for dinner today, where they took the dog for a walk, when they're going away on holiday (so you can burgle their house) etc etc. Not for me I'm afraid, everything I need regarding N gauge is on here or in my loft.

By the way, I had chicken pieces for dinner, I don't have a dog and I'm not sure if we can afford a holiday this year  8)

I'm not going to have another thread about why some people don't like Facebook.  This thread is to advertise the facebook page!   :P ;D

Jacket potatoes, cheese, baked beans and sausages.   :smiley-laughing:

You don't know the meaning of the word stroppy. You haven't met the wife!

Apologies but I do see red sometimes, well most of the time, about FB.  Didn't realise that there was a thread elsewhere about the issues others have with it.

Nuff said.

As an ageing FB (6 years) member I find the thing increasingly frustrating as things are thrust upon the users!  It is VERY difficult to leave!

(Ostensibly it was to keep contact with the younger members of the extended family)

That said, I much prefer to use this forum than FB, despite the users hiding behind pseudonyms, simply because it IS N gauge and it is not cluttered with LOADS of advertising!  That we have is related to our passions!

Regards, Peter.

Like Peter I am onlyon FB to maintain contact with relatives abroad (Canada & NZ)

Joined (if that's the right word) the NGF page the other day to see what it's like but at present doesn't appeal but will stick around for a for a while to see if things change.
