Title: London Brick Company RED
Post by: guest1328 on January 23, 2014, 12:47:47 PM
Hi All,

Any idea what colour Red the Old LBC (London Brick Company) Vehicles were?

I've read that Post Box Red is a good match, but damned if I can find any in Acrylic that I could put through the airbrush! ?

All replies or links to such would be gratefully accepted.

Paul

Must it be acrylic? With enamels you could try Cherry Paints C185 British Road Services red, or even good old Humbrol No.19 Bright Red.

This is my British Transport Classics AEC Mammoth Major Mk.III in 1/50 scale; not sure how the shade of red (front of cab) will come across on your screen, but I assume this is the correct colour for LBC:-

Having just googled images of London Brick Company Vehicles, the Corgi "Trackside" Stores Dept Van seems to be a good match for Fire Engine Red.  Pantone #1795 or rgb 206,32,41
