Hi guys, I always used to test and run in my '00' locos on Analogue as recommended. Even the pre-fitted DCC locos ran on both DC and DCC. Can I ask why ( if anyone knows obviously ) why my pre-fitted Load Haul class 56 will not run on analogue ?
Any help is welcome..... Andy.
Depends on the decoder which is fitted. I use Digitrax, Lenz and Zimo and all can have Analogue compatibility disabled.
OR it could be a duff chip. Does it run OK on DCC?
Cheers
Dave
In most decoder CV 29 will be set to 38 which gives
Advanced 28/128 speed step control
4 Digit Addressing - Use CV17 & CV18 to set address. On Digitrax throttles the display shows AD4 and the process is automated.
Analog Mode Conversion On - Use when you want to run your decoder on non-DCC layouts
Forward - Use to run decoder in the normal direction of travel defined by the loco wiring
Speed Table Disabled - Use CVs 02, 05, & 06 to set up simple 3 step speed table if desired

Thanks for the answers guys, the loco runs fine on DCC so maybe as you say the decoder does not have that option...
It came fitted as standard by Dapol in the set so i suppose they only gonna fit a basic decoder.
Dapol train sets use Gaugemaster decoders.
