During the night of 6 upon 7 januari, Johan Nieuwenhuis (Netherlands) has been robbed at home from his home-build locomotives!

3 ½" NCS 78 (1.60m long, 45kg)...

2x wagons.
Al tools and all tracks 5” + 7¼” of ca 15 meter.
these are coal fired engines, 35 years of work and unsellable because they all unique!
If one sees an announcement of these locomotives, or something suspious, leave a note to i n f o (@) r a d i n g s p o o r (dot) n l or call your local police.

Please spead this message everywhere, in the hope to find the stolen engines.
That's terrible news. All the best to him, and I hope everything turns up and not damaged in any way.

Seconded. A friend of mine, here in Prague, had a very successful business fitting hidden GPS/GSM (mobile phone) tracking units in the types of cars most likely to be stolen. With such large and valuable items fitting something similar might well be worth the investment. (The car owners got reduced insurance premiums, too.) If the thieves were 'just' after scrap metal, though . . .
'Swines' isn't strong enough (but then I'd have to moderate myself) to describe the people who committed this act. :censored:
I sincerely hope the owner gets his goods back.
thats awful , and they should be hung , look how nice that little green 0-4-0 is! :wonderfulmodelling:

FYI: There has been a LOT of fuss about these locomotives all over the place.
The result: these locomotives where found today (11 January 2014) in a farmfield with a note for the police to return them to their owner. All the stolen tools are still missing, but the locomotives and wagons are being transferred back to their rightful (happy) owner
:thankyousign:
Great news
Really great news. the tools can be replaced but not the rest. Delighted.
Thanks for keeping us informed, Paul.
Excellent news regarding the trains
:claphappy: :claphappy: Fantastic news for the owner
Don't you just love a happy ending. :)
So glad the models have been found. If the models were left to be found and returned, I wonder what the original motivation was for the thieves? Steal the locomotives to sell (and subsequently find that they wouldn't be able to shift them), steal the tools and then the locomotives as a 'bonus'?
well thats great news - now lets hope those using the tools have a nice big mis-hap and end up with one missing , and sitting in A&E

:claphappy: Excellent! :claphappy:
