Title: Any modelling New Years Resolutions?
Post by: silly moo on December 31, 2013, 09:59:02 AM
Mine is to make up the pile of kits I've been hoarding over the years and to try and keep the railway room tidy (an on-going problem) another one should be not to be tempted by 'bargains'

Regards and Happy New Year to everyone,

Veronica

None.

And if I had any I would surely break them.

I will resist the ever growing number of mouth-watering pre-grouping OO releases, one day they will come out in N.

Plod on regardless.
If it dosnt fit make it (gently)
Try-fit-retry-refit keep calm-have a caffeine fix. repeat from part one.
check/check check/ recheck and glue/pin etc
Warning Locos break windows if you throw them hard enough
Just keep calm and it will work out ok in the end

Rebuild my main station area.
NOT start on a major port extension to Port Perran until I retire in 11 months (MUST resist the temptation to start!).

I'll be spending my time concentrating on a 5" Gauge garden railway.  I'm building 3 Ford style pallet vans at work (during breaks of course!).

I'd make a build thread, but I think it'd be frowned upon on here.  ;D  Hopefully I can get into the loft and see my n gauge at some point....   :'(

Not to cut up any more locos.  :uneasy:
Use the stock of chassis I already have.

Build some more of the kits and not buy any more. :smiley-laughing:

Scratch build more stuff using stuff that would have been thrown away.

Finish off the rest of the hand laid track I need.

Some hope and NO hope of keeping some of the above.

I will keep producing pre-group N gauge kits to tempt you into the land of kit building  >:D

In 2014 I will:

Dismantle my layout
Test and play with stock more
Buy more stock

Reason being, last year I said the complete opposite to the above and it never happened! Thought I'd change tack!

Do not start a new project until the current one is finished
Do not start a new project until the current one is finished
Do not start a new project until the current one is finished
Do not start a new project until the current one is finished

Oh and don't buy anymore rolling stock or engines except perhaps those parcels wagons

What do you want to do with your main station area, Mike?

I've just emailed you a map of the proposed (1983) Padstow - Newquay - Truro line to help plan your major port extension? (I've also attached draft plans for Cant Cove and Penmayne.)
