Time for a laugh!
Having spent yesterday at my Dad's house, a spot of running was inevitable. After re-soldering a wire or two on his 50+ year old OO Princess Elizabeth, out came the 'trains'!
Apologies for the oversize subject in the imagery, but 23 years on my favourite childhood loco still runs perfectly!

Anybody else got any similar Then & Now's they can share?
I think my Mum still has a photograph of me aged 8 receiving a Triang Hymek for Christmas.
52 years later here I am with 3 of them in N gauge :)
Thank you for posting your pictures
I would have loved to see your face when your favourite loco started up again after 23 years :D
cheers John.

It brought a smile to my face, then an evil glint as I remembered the great 37 vs 47 battles me and my brother used to have!
I was thinking this morning, the train set I received this Christmas was 50 years after the last train set I had at Christmas ( a triang breakdown set) !
