I recall reading some books that would have come from the library when I was young, about some very small people that lived on a model railway and the boy who owned it.
I would have read them sometime aroung 1980 and I am sure they where not especially new then, they where definaltly aimed at the under 11 year old.
I would love to be able to source them for my young nephew to read, but I have searched through the web and cannot find anything - hindered no doubt by the fact that I cannot recall any specific details!
Anyone any ideas?
Sounds like The Model Railway Men series by Ray Pope. I read these as a child in the 1960s and loved them. Sadly I don't think they're currently in print, but you can find secondhand copies on Amazon :-

Hope this helps.

Oh yes I remember these books written by Ray Pope and illustrated by Gareth Floyd. They date from the 1970s when Ray Pope was a school teacher in Bath. There are ten (if memory serves) books in the series and I have a complete collection in hardback. Luckily I got mine a number of years ago before the prices became silly.
If you want any specific info just shout. I tried to trace Ray and the publisher a few years back as I thought it would be good to republish them but to no avail.
