Clicking on the Alerts flag to open and check used to clear it. That's not happening just now. Is it me being a problem or is there a problem generally?
Dave G
It's just your end as far as I'm aware. :-\ Try clearing your Cache.
My alerts still appear in the drop down box, but the triangle does not show as red once I click on it.
Nope! :confused2:
Cache and history both cleared; logged out and back in and the little red triangle still shows 3.
Not a huge problem but first time this has occurred.
If it's of any relevance, I have had problems with IE 10 and reverted to 8 to stop it screwing up my yahoo emails!
Suggestions (polite please :) most welcome.
Dave G
Try installing Chrome or Firefox ;)
cheers John.
No problems using Chrome!
Peter.
My only problem is that when I get a red triangle, and click, I get a list of old read messages, as well as the new one. Running Safari.
Looks like it was IE8 that was being a pain.
Thanks, guys, now sorted.

Good to hear you are sorted Dave, you will be able to sleep soundly now
cheers John.
Another still working for me using Firefox.
On a slightly different tack - as a new boy I've got mountains of stuff to read on NGF. At home keeping emails down is a major headache. :o I keep getting email alerts from NGF and I'm hunting around to find exactly where I turn these off - and can't find the place. Basically at present I don't want any email alerts. Can some kind member point me to the place where I can kill all email alerts at this time.
Thanks guys
Ken
Hi Ken,
If you go into your Profile, you can turn them off in there.
cheers John.
Thanks John. I had been in there and scrubbed email notifications but left one open.
cheers
Ken
Don't forget to turn them back on when you've caught up otherwise you could miss some important bits and pieces. ;)
Certainly will :)
All fine here in Canada too but I don't use IE......I agree try Chrome or Firefox.....much better browsers.
