Title: Graham Farish carriages: How to disassemble?
Post by: nf3996 on January 14, 2011, 11:22:31 AM
I have a couple of elderly Graham Farish 57ft suburban carriages that I'd like to do some work on. Can anyone advise on how to remove the carriage body from the frame, and the roof from the body, without damaging anything?

Many thanks,

Alan

The roof should be held on by two sprue's.  Just pull the roof off, as you shouldn't break anything.

The body and frame are held together by melting a little plastic on them to bind them (if memory serves me right).  So you should be able to see them both and  either use a knife to cut through them, or drill through them.

Thanks for the advice. I've now successfully disassembled the carriages.
