"A boy, tied up and left to die on railway tracks in a Maharashtra town, Thane escaped death as the train supposed to run him over was delayed by 10 minutes. Pradip Yadav, 20, was the victim of murder conspiracy of his cousins who tried to kill him by tying him up on the railway track near Boisar, an industrial town in the district, October 5."

Don't they have broad gauge in India?

Surely the kid would fit in between the rails and be missed by the train?  :doh:

Just glad they found him, it must have been a terrifying ordeal for the boy.

Mostly 5'6" yes.

And a railway system that makes Network Rail look a bit slow at fixing stuff !

5pm on Tuesday two staff (working on initiative) patrol because of torrential rail and realise there is a 20m of washed away track. This is at 5pm. At 3am its fixed and trains are running...

I'm impressed they gave a hard cash bonus to these vigilant blokes, they deserve it!
