 :sorrysign: I have decided I am going to concentrate on 009 from now on. Discovering I have rheumatoid arthritis has made the decision for me,I have been having problems holding bits when modeling but can cope with the larger parts in the other scale..
I wish you all the best, Mike - you'll still be welcome here (even if it's just for the craich)
I wish you well.
I suspect you will be allowed to give us a sneaky view of your 009 layout .
I'm sorry to see you go. At least you are still in the hobby.
As Nobby wrote stay around. We all want to see your new layout.
Sorry to hear that Mike. Always welcome on here, as you'll be missed.
Sad to hear the news Mike, especially regarding the arthritis. Wishing you all the best.
Sorry to hear about the Arthritis, I've got the beginnings of Osteoarthritis myself, so know some of the problems you are experiencing.
Having enjoyed some of your posts I hope you still stick around and join in.
Regards
Ray
I'm sure narrow gauge photos and track plans will be welcome in here, Oldman. It's not like it's OO- Oops! I said a bad word :zippedmouth:
Sorry to hear. I know what it's like as I have had a nasty form of rheumatoid arthritis called psoriatic-arthropathy which attack the small joints (like fingers, toes, wrists and ankles) for many years (as a well as osteo-arthritis from playing football that necessitated both hips being replaced). The annoying thing is that atmospherics can affect it so as soon as you've feeling not too bad the weather changes and ruins how you feel.
However, there are lots of little things you can do to help and make you feel better. The best thing is to remain positive and not to let illness defeat you by giving up. Changing scales means that you're not succumbing and may well be some inspiration that you need.
H.
Really sorry to hear that you've got this to contend with - please don't leave though!
Hi Mike
So sorry to hear about your problems and that you are leaving "N" :(
But please keep looking in on here from time to time ::)
Or else I will have to come hunting you on the NGRM forum :D
There is no escape ;)
:beers:
dave
Sorry to learn of this Mike, there are a lot more drugs available to help now for RA and new ones coming in the pipeline - so hopefully they will be able to find the right ones for you

Would be nice to have you drop in from time to time - you know you'll always be welcome.

Sorry to hear your news.
All the very best and please do pop in from time to time and let us have a peek of your new project.

:( :( Sorry to hear that news. Try and keep active and do the best you can within your capabilities.
All the best
John
Mike, please keep in touch, you have lots of knowledge/experience that always helps others. Are you a member of the Narrow Gauge Society and the forum?. Cheers john.
Mike,
Sorry to hear this news. as someone who has had RA for about 10 years now I know just how debilitating it can be. The good news is there are drugs available today that weren't around 10 years ago that do work wonders - it's a question of reading up on everything and harassing the medics!
Good luck and stay in touch
Nick
Mike you will be seriously missed. In fact 009 is nearly N so keep in touch with us. So you will be re-sizing your scalescenes stuff then ?
Good luck Jerry.
