Title: N Gauge F-22 Raptor
Post by: Adam1701D on September 11, 2013, 09:34:58 PM
I picked up a Japanese model of an F-22 Raptor from N-Train at TINGS last weekend and decided to give it a lick of paint. It actually looks quite good and is, apparently, scaled to 1:152.

Not sure about the under-wing weapons - i thought they were showed in a weapons bay to keep the profile stealty. Looks kind of cool, though!  8)

Yep, it's been Photoshopped a little!

Raptor does indeed have internal weapon bays, though I wouldn't be surprised if in the future extra weapons / capabilities are added and under wing racks appear.

Though if that does happen, I hope the weapon is something very clever as the cost associated with developing the capability to fire a missile from an internal bay would have been considerable. Having said THAT, the F22 is probably the single most expensive manned fighter there will ever be, so what the hey!

Nice model none the less  :D

I own an RAF liveried Euro Jet series Euro fighter typhoon,

An excellent model in the 1/144 series, comes prepainted.
Good to see a Raptor, I hope they release more.

Nice!

I have 3 RAF Tornadoes which I think are 1/144, as well as some civilian aircraft.
