I've decided to make some of the Scalescenes buildings and have got today a Canon LBP 5050 laser printer.
What a nightmare to get the colour somewhere near what I want,it might help if I understood mixing colours, but there are so many different settings to print at.
I've been trying for about six hours solid to get the Roads and Pavements tarmac acceptable.I'll do some more fine tuning after I've downloaded and printed some more stuff off.
It seems like it needs the parameters setting up each time I open a new PDF.
Beginning to wish I sorted my inkjet printers out now instead.

Nothing to do with whether it is laser or inkjet, all to do with printer drivers and operating system (and to an extent paper type as with inkjet).
Some more detail on what the problem is and what it is doing might help however. The monitor can also matter. I've got a cheap Dell monitor and it took me a while to realise that the printer was bang on the right colours but that monitor was off by a mile.

I spent a little time this morning reading the online manual (I wish manuals were in printed form).I'm a lot happier with the print colours now,but will tweak it a bit more later (probably). All in all it's okay for my present use I think,at least it's quick.
The tarmac print was okay,it just didn't match the screen properly.
I miss my 19"CRT monitor for the colour calibration ,but it went kaput and I now use an LCD monitor,a lot smaller footprint and weight, but not so good for calibrating.
Google gives some LCD monitor calibrating links,so I'll have a play with them.I'll also see if there is a later driver than the one supplied.
