Hi Guys, I need some help...
At the weekend it was my club's annual exhibition. I was forced into buying raffle tickets in the usual arm twisting way.
Imagine my surprise when I was told I had won......only to be totally deflated by the description of my prize. No, I didn't win the first prize first class tickets for two to London by Grand Central, or even a nice box of chocolates to share with Mrs Kirky.
No.... I won a Hornby Double O Booking Office
What the hell am I going to do with a double o booking office? It isnt even a nice Skaledale one, its nasty and plastic, in kit form.
Any suggestions greatfully considered.
Kirky :'(
Donate it to the next raffle or stick it on ebay
Wash it in hot soapy water and it might shrink to N scale size.
Do you want to borrow an air rifle? ;D
target practice
How about a Viking funeral on the local park lake....!!.....

Matchstick heads tightly wraped in tin foil and a short fuse. The bane of all '60s toys, usually Matchbox I'll admit...
Ahh.. fond memories
Could you use it for some ridiculous backwards forced perspective, perhaps :smiley-laughing:?
Thanks guys, some excellent suggestions.
Cloughie, I think you're winning with 'target practice'..... I might have to make a catapult. ;D
I always hang on to stuff like that, never known a railway modeller yet that has not strayed from one gauge to the other during their life, circumstances change as years tick over.
when I was in the u.k. tank club. this is what happened to the mascot

Put in away in a cupboard for a year or two.
Then 're-discover' it and put it up for sale on ebay:
"L@@K, highly sought after RARE Hornby Booking Office kit."
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. They made me smile.
However, common sense has got the better of me. All this talk of violence and anger (Uk riots) has persuaded me it might just be better to donate it back to the club where it can be re raffled.
Cheers
Kirky
