Dunno, yet. Top secret. Out to our friends' house.
All I know is that it will involve lots of wine, and that suits me just fine.

Actually, I nearly wrote almost the same thing yesterday about Northerners!  :D  I don't know anyone down here that calls it Tea? ???  I usually only hear it on tv on Catherine Cookson, or Heartbeat!  Northern.   :smiley-laughing:

Why-eye man! (ey-up-me duck), quick go check the whippets. Where did I leave my flat cap? I got my narrow boat stuck on the river Rother the other day. Im one of the few people who likes 'the angel of the north' and understands it's meaning. I treat Scots as neighbours. Wigan Casino rocks. I like gravy on my chips. I understand the rules of rugby league (go castleford!) My holiday destination is always Scarborough. My favorite band is the smiths, followed by happy mondays, beatles and oasis. The city of sheffield warms my heart on every visit. I 'get' Coronation street (and yes it is real). Paul O'Grady speaks my lingo. Nottingham is far to south for me. M62 is my favorite motorway. I like moors. 'Go Lancarshire!'. Im going t'shops in Harrogate. My sheep dog is from the cheviot hills. John Prescott is a good role model. Johnny Vegas is funny. My wife is from Barnsley and my sister is from Huddersfield (and yes they both have sheep skin coats). Cultural wasteland with limited shopping opportunities defines my DNA.

Very easy to 'stereo type' as you can see but I hate to break your heart but Southerners eat dinner (in the evening) and Drink Tea in liquid form :smiley-laughing:

I love t' north south divide :smiley-laughing:

Oh absolutely! As an ex-southener plastic geordie I eat dinner and drink tea.
I grew up in Kent, have lived in Tyneside, Blackpool and now Chester and love the divide!  :)
When people ask if I'd ever move back south my reply is along the lines of:
'Haddaway man!'
(Any Geordies on here will know that one!)
I'm not ashamed of where I come from, I just prefer it 'up north'.
Although I still speak with a Thames Estuary accent I can slip into a Geordie one at any time I choose!  :smiley-laughing:
It can confuse people being bi-lingual...

If I have fish and chips it has to have mushy peas.
Tonight though, I'm making a Ruby Murray.
Is that alreet pet?

You missed a couple of words after 'Haddaway' and before 'man' moogle.   :smiley-laughing:
I was born in Newcastle, but lived in Kent for 33 awful years.  Moved back up to Newcastle 13 years ago via Burlington, Iowa.  ;D

I do make a lot of my own Thai, Chinese and Indian meals but I really do like a nice thick, medium cooked, rib eye steak, with chips, fried onions and mustard, oh yes and a nice bottle of red

I know, but I'm trying to keep it clean...  ;D  :smiley-laughing:
I've met a lot of people over the years who have done just that, moved south and then moved back north.
Though not via the route you took!

Being a Southener if we have a full meal at midday or early afternoon we call it dinner and if we have something like sandwiches or something in the evening we call it Tea.

However if we have a full meal in the evening we will still call it dinner but sandwiches etc at midday we would call Lunch!

(Oh a meal or sandwiches etc late in the evening after all 3 meals of the day would be Supper!)

seven varieties of tomatoes, new refrigerator pickles, store bought pita bread with humus.

Just had chicken Bami Goreng, egg fried rice with salmon chunks and mini spring rolls, had to cook it all myself mind you, the gorls were busy (watching a film  ::) )

Yes Jonathan I grow a bit of veg, I have cut down to 4 varieties of tomatoes this year though, but also have potato (3 varieties), red onion, courgette, peas, chillies, purple broccoli, along with various herbs and salad leaves and onions.  We have had a poor summer though and despite all the bedding plants doing well, the veg has been very slow.
