Title: 1571
Post by: petercharlesfagg on August 06, 2013, 07:15:48 AM
Does anyone here know how to skip messages on 1571?

With my wife and I both running businesses from home and too tight fisted to have an answering machine, we both get some messages every day.

We are taking a break away from home and know the messaging system will be clogged by our return!

Is there a way for us to skip to messages from a few days beforehand?

Regards, Peter.

hello Peter

1571 will store a maximum of 10 messages. There is no functionality to skip messages.

Here's the 1571 FAQ: http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/btbusiness/btbusinessProducts/pdfs/phone_services/BT_Answer_1571_FAQs.pdf (http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/btbusiness/btbusinessProducts/pdfs/phone_services/BT_Answer_1571_FAQs.pdf)

Or for more fun deploy Asterisk.

http://www.asterisk.org/ (http://www.asterisk.org/)

then you can customise and control all your phone answering, including doing really evil things to junk callers like make them solve mazes to leave a message.
