Sorry guys,
I'm going to raise the contentious issue of couplings again.
I've looked at the Dapol Eazi-Mate ones and whilst they look the best for NEM pockets, I want something simpler for Farish pockets, so I trawled the forum looking at Micro-trains stuff, because these seem to be a straight forward replacement for sprung rapido coupling pockets.
But, and there's always a but, there seems to be a myriad of different types of Micro-Train couplings, so can anyone tell me which type of Micro-Trains couplings I need for Farish Sprung pockets?? oh and do Micro-Trains do replacements for NEM pockets?? Oh and thirdly, are Micro-Trains compatible with Dapol Eazi-Mates??
The links I've looked at so far are http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=8202.msg89892#msg89892 (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=8202.msg89892#msg89892) & http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=6509.msg121068#msg121068 (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=6509.msg121068#msg121068)
:thankyousign: in advance
Neal.
Microtrains don't do NEM and they are not really intended for any of the UK pockets. They can certainly be fitted and people do. It's usual to fit them lower than the US height and adjust the trip pin because at the US height they are half in and half out of the buffer beam.
