Mine is a nice cold cider its very refreshing... Cheers :beers:
Magners original with ice...... :pint: :pint:
Not alcohol in this heat generally (impairs the ability to solder and paint straight ;))
Some years back at a blazing hot Cropredy folk festival I simply gave up trying to drink enough and started filling my hat with water and upending it over my head every hour or so.
Worked wonders, but the hat never recovered.
Alan
A nice cold glass of Ginger Beer especially Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer!
Although a cold drink may be refreshing at the time of consumption, in actual fact all your body does then is work extra hard to bring the cold drink up to the temperature inside you.
On that basis, I drink tea and in the last 2 weeks have probably drunk more tea than I have in the last 2 years as I am a self confessed coffeeholic

I'm with you Mick, a nice mug of sweet tea.
In fact when I used to play cricket down Happy Valley in Cyprus, when the game finished the lads used to disappear to the Albatross Club for a few beers, me?? I used to go home, have a mug of hot sweet tea and then go down the Ross to celebrate our victory, or commiserate on our loss, whatever!!!
Regards
Neal.
Tea :D
Room temperature Strawberry Milkshake currently but normallly a caffiene addict. Usually a nice fresh double expresso
Good old fashioned ice cold squash - M&S 'High Juice' is my current favourite.
I drink strong coffee all day
Another vote for Tea.
Hot chocolate, although I have been supplementing it with plenty of water at the moment during work as it's 30 degrees in here (in new money)
Oddly enough a fair few cans of lager seem to be vanishing during the evenings at the moment :hmmm:
Pastis - a.k.a. Ricard, 51, etc.
A double measure in a whisky glass, 6 ice cubes, top up with water.
Best regards,
Joe de Paris
It used to be Taunton 'Natch', however i can't get it here in the States. I now like a bottle or 2 of Angry Orchard or Magners these days.
Another vote for tea here.
Allan
anything cold, fizzy and zero sugar (for my sins i have been T total since 2007)
Love my cider but gin and bitter lemon is great. Reminds me of spanish holidays. Isn't so girly in a pint glass! :beers:
Don't like tea so Ribena is my 'keep me alive' non alcoholic fix.
Be careful out there.
Cheers weave
In this household it seems copious amounts of no added sugar apple and blackcurrant squash are being consumed, three new bottles of Diet Coke have been left untouched for a week.
The occasional cold beer in the evening is also nice, but I always prefer something long cool and non-alcoholic in this heat.
Roy
Unadulterated cold water :worried:
Well the cider went down well but tonight its going to be Bacardi and Coke by order of her indoors, i am not a big drinker but i only tend to drink when the weather is hot and we are having a great summer, i work hard all week so I deserve my tipple at the weekend, and hats off to my mrs for putting up with my modelling, so once again folks its cheers from me.
:beers:
Ice cold water during the day and night with beer or two in the evening!
Not too many beers though - :beers:
Ice cold beer :beers:
I like a nice cool ale (probably a bit colder than purists would have it but that's the way I like it ;)). Badger brewery is rather nice and their Golden Champion is particularly nice in hot weather. :pint:
I'm on tea or coffee with a cold apple juice now and a again.
But not to forget home made wine hic!
Tea of course...for BREAKFAST!!!
Then LAGER LAGER LAGER (as Beer is not an option in these parts). Ok the odd litre of Aqua frizzante for the afternoon and then a glass or three of vino.
Ok so I may finish off my liver before I finish the layout.....
Sorry folks have had a week or so of "doldrums re the forum" but couldn't resist this one.
Tea for breakfast
Tea for elevensies
Tea at lunchtime
Afternoon tea
Tea with dinner
Tea before bedtime
Usually one or two mugs of tea inbetween those ;)
Paul
Good grief, Paul :o
Monty Python could substitute 'spam' for 'tea' and have another great sketch :D
You're not kidding :D
That's a lot of tea when you consider each mug is this one on the left:-

Holds a pint and a quarter of lovely tea! The mug on the right is an ordinary half pint mug for comparison ;)
Even got Clare on pint mugs of tea now, she was a confirmed coffee-drinker before she met me :D
We now buy the big £9.99 sacks of Yorkshire Tea Bags and even those don't last long! ;D
Paul
A nice pot of tea made with leaves (not nasty bags) - I blend an Earl Grey and Assam mix - and freshly boiled water.

After a round of Golf a nice cold dry cider followed by a couple of pints of cool summer ale finished off with a couple of G & T's with a slice of Lime and plenty of ice does the trick for me! (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-eatdrink042.gif) (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php) Quite like to start the day with a large mug of green tea! Tea, pop and cider for me :P the latter depending on money :O

Proper brew...good on ya!
Coffee first thing, then Vimto diluted with fizzy water and ice during the day.
Now, when it comes to 'adult time' I do, and always have liked a Guinness. Normally, at home, I drink draught cans which have been kept at cellar temparature, just 'cool'.
If I'm out, then inevitably I will spend the whole evening moaning about 'Extra Cold' Guinness, as it's all you ever seem to get and it spoils it for me.
However, in this recent heat, 'cool' Guinness just doesnt work, so I have been drinking Guinness Original instead and adding ice.
Makes two things; a most refreshing bevarage and, me a hypocrite! :pint:
Hi
Well when I can't get tap water (HA Ha) its got to be home brewed bitter beer shandy made with Aldi cheapo diet lemonade (which tastes surprisingly like Shss!! You Know Who's - not the Harry Potter One!!)
I cool the beer with ice cubes as that is just kept at a cool in the shade temperature for flavour as a beer then dilute with cooled pop from the fridge. Cost less than 70p per pint - and I use expensive home brew kits!! And I can vary how alcoholic it is.
Marvelous!
Cheers
Mac
:pint:
any weather. always. earl grey
I'm with you there, you can't beat it.
I'm quite surprised at the popularity of Earl Grey tea, to me it tastes like how I'd imagine normal tea with a handful of topsoil thrown in and a squirt of toilet duck
Paul
In that case you have not had proper Earl Grey tea, should never be drunk with milk and never stewed otherwise all the delicate flavour and fragrance are swamped. Bet made with loose leaf tea in a proper china tea pot. I don't have it with a slice of lemon but a lot of people do.
I'll throw my cup into the ring for Earl Grey too :)
No milk, sugar or lemon thank you.
I must remember to build a mug shelf into my fiddle yard to keep it away from the trains!
Michael

No need to sit on the fence, Paul :D
Here is the very man himself ;)
cheers John.
