Title: BT yahoo
Post by: Agrippa on July 10, 2013, 08:35:36 AM
I received an email this morning supposedly from BT Yahoo telling me if I did
not update my email account within 24 hours (in red) that my email
would be suspended. there was no greeting or account number mentioned. I
think this is some scam or otherwise. I know BT is going to cease using Yahoo in
few weeks and this might be a ruse as users will be contacted advising them
of the new service. Any other members experienced this ?

Cheers

Allan

Sounds like phishing to me ;)

Easy way to tell, if there's a "helpful link" in the e-mail place your cursor over it but DON'T CLICK, the real web address will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Either that or log into your BT Yahoo account in the proper way, by manually going to the web address in your browser, and I'm sure if any action needs taking there will be a message to say so

I am with BT just been on the portal for BT Yahoo and it states that it will be using there own website in the next 2 weeks for email log in, so yes sounds like you have a scam email.
