Having already had a pretty poor week due to a £1200 repair bill on my car, I thought I'd cheers myself up on the way to West Bay, Dorset by calling in at Buffers and picking up one of their Dapol Palmers Brewery Vans. I've been travelling to this part of the country for the past 20 years, and have recently aquired a taste for their Beer I thought it would be the perfect momento.
When I enquired about said Van I was mortified to hear that a customer had been in only half an hour before and bought the last 6 vans! The staff at Buffers double checked every cupboard and office, but they were all gone!
Needless to say, upon arriving at our destination, a few pints of Palmers were downed to drown my sorrows.
EBay hasn't returned any joy yet, but I'll keep looking......
Has anyone on the forum got one of the aforesaid vans they would be prepared to part with to help Stevieboy?
You buy a suit with an extra pair of trousers then
burn a hole in the jacket. :D

bummer... I got one of the Palmers wagons for christmas and has pride of place at a brewery in 'Britminster' on my West Dorset based layout
The only thing I can suggest is a tour of the brewery (see link). As well as the opprtunity to sample their wares, you may be able to persuade someone who works there to commission another run of wagons for sale in their shop! And after you have drowned your sorrows you can even walk back to West Bay from the brewery as it is so close!

Thanks for the link, we went down on Wednesday and only came away with more Dorset Gold :beers:
I asked on the off chance if they had any Vans stashed away but they didn't.
I've still got a feeling that a few will turn up on eBay very soon.
Cheers

Managed to get one, brand new in box with certificate! I'd been searching on eBay every day since July and finally one appeared. I set a ridiculous max bid, but in the end it cost me £22 with a free 7 plank Breyers Ash wagon.
My life is now complete!
Result
Yay
Result :beers:
It only cost you the same as about 5 or 6 pints of the real stuff, so if it makes you feel better just imagine that the wagon is running a little lighter than it should be!
