Not wishing to tempt fate but
have any of our other SE residents noticed it has not rained YET.
Very unusual me thinks.
Bloody p'ing down here since lunch - and I undercoated the front doors this morning, as the rain wasn't due until after 3 :veryangry:
It has been raining here in Newcastle all afternoon, thankfully it has cooled things down a bit ;)
cheers John.

You did tempt fate :(
Rained a bit here. Light showers only - which is unusual for Dublin where, usually, it is around 30 degrees and sunny. It was what we, in Ireland, might call a "Grand soft day"....
I had to laugh though. One of the female tennisists complained about the grass in Wimbeldon being more slippery than last year which is why she slipped over and hurt herself.
Wimbledon have said they have used the same Outer Mongolian grass they always used. Cut to the standard 8mm,
Whats his face Hewitt (Australian and good on grass) said that its the same as always - take short steps and retain balance for the first few days until the grass wears off....
So that's Wimbledon in a nutshell apart from the fact that all the seeds are out apart from Andy Murray who will win...

I think you'll find the world number 1 won his game tonight, and looking at the way he played I hope Murray can up his game or he won't win, methinks :hmmm:
Nobby,
Just so as you know I have my tongue firmly in my cheek. I am a rugby man. Wimbeldon is an exercise in mowing....
