I've just been made to get up on my day off to be told we're off to Hamburg as it's my birthday on Saturday and we're going to miniature wonderland to say I'm a little excited is an understatement
Dave

Have fun!!
You won't be disappointed, I went there back in February after a few days in Berlin.
It's amazing how quickly time just disappears in that place, my favourite part by far was the airport .
Have a good one and happy birthday for Saturday
Lucky Chap!!! have a fantastic time! take lots of pictures so we can all live vicariously through you! :) :)

After seeing the videos online that's the main reason my other half wants to visit there as well :D
Paul
Have a terrific day!

Yes, but as far as I know it's all continental stuff and the prices will probably make you weep
Are there any model shops in Hamburg worth a visit I am sure i will be allowed a little something as it is my 40th
Dave
Any member caught going to support this other scale should be banned!!!
I hope you are going to protest outside with a banner like this. :NGaugersRule:

Dave, when you come out of the main station in Hamburg, turn leftish and head down the main road towards the church, there is one on the left next to a restaurant.
See my thread http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=12853.msg131093#msg131093 (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=12853.msg131093#msg131093) for more info
and have a great trip
Thanks for the replies chaps I have just got back from miniature wunderland and WOW! It's huge there is so much to see the amount of work in there is mind boggling well worth the £10 odd to get in and be warned I took over 300 pictures
Dave
Glad you had a good time.
Look forward to seeing edited highlights! :camera:

We have been out and about today visited one shop Modell bahn but I wasn't to impressed I think I was expecting a shop like I'd find in the uk the second hand stuff looked very used and not much new one loco and loads of carriages, the other shop talked about is now a coffee shop so my idea of coming home with a shiney new train isn't going to happen :'(.
Just the Reeperbahn left to do then home in the morning

And another in a toy shop next to the main station but I just couldn't justify the price of the locos I can get a class66 and some wagons for the same price.
