Hello all,
This isn't related to the forum, but if you could take the time to kindly click on the link below and then the grey button just above the first picture I'd be ever so grateful.

It's still a work inprogress, but here is my shed/workshop.
Your wish is my command Oh great Leader... :D
Thank you both very much. Cheques in the post.... :scowl: :smiley-laughing:
Done - and tweeted too!
You have got my vote but your shed would be much improved if your double peg semaphores were the right way up and facing in the right direction.

Cheques are fine providing they haven't got Dunlop printed on the back, but BACS are prefered. :smiley-laughing:
Done. Lovely little shed !

Whoops, cheers Ron! :-[ I only put them on there a few days ago, but I didn't realise that they were the wrong side.
You got my vote

Done cause it looks great from the outside but how on earth do you get inside ??? :smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing:
Done, oh glorious one.

Neal.
my vote has been cast, though I think more the shed of the century than the year :smiley-laughing:
Done nice shed?
Thanks everyone, you're making me very happy. :)

Through the doors! How do you get into sheds in Oz?! ??? :smiley-laughing: Yes, it is a mess. There are just too many tools and not enough shelves! It will be tidy one day....
How cute, but I've voted for it anyway. ;)
So, you are called Sheddies. That's funny.
Great shed. Got my vote.
I think all our sheds are a mess inside (well mine is under the layout) but immaculate on the outside, my vote has been cast
  You got my postal vote as well... Why ??????
This site (NGF) just run by nutters and is infectious..
You have got my vote ;)
It may be insane... :laugh3: But I've voted anyway!
Excellent shed. You deserve an award, well done, Bill.
My shed only has mower and other garden tools inside it! :'(
Still, I've got N in my 'den' and 00 in the garage. Now, where can I put the Z?
Voted. Do we have to call you 'Sheddy' now instead of 'Tank' ? :bounce:
John
:NGF:
Done. Thank God for eccentricity
Hi Tank, all voted for be me (and my parents)
Hope you win!
Consider it voted for - now where are those placards? >:D :D
Voted
Paul
Tank
liked you're shed so voted for it, any photos of the inside?
Ray
I voted for your shed Tank.
You have my vote. I'm afraid my shed is dilapidated and full of junk. :(
My vote added also.
I have a shed, but it is not very interior friendly.
Thanks once again everyone for your votes and very kind comments. :bounce:

Thanks Ray. There is one photo on the voting page showing the inside (as you have to have one of the inside to be in the competition. However, I don't want to show too much of the interior because of the value of the tools in it. ;)
Vote cast!
Front of house is now slightly concerned that...
1. I have too much time on my hands and;
2. Our shed may get a repaint and some exterior accessories in the near future. :laugh3:

Go for it! :D Would love to see it. Mine just started off as a tin of paint from B&Q and developed..... :worried:
I don't have a shed. If I had a shed, I wouldn't have a back garden, and the view out of the patio doors would be... Shed.
No shed these days but at the old house it wasn't me who painted the planks of the shed in alternating light and dark varnish.. it was my wife !
Voted....could we not start our own Shedi (as in Jedi) thread, we all either go "cool top class shed" or use peer pressure and embarrassment to get our sheds cleaned up, basically coming out of the shed as opposed to the closet.
Or sheds anonymous...mind you that wouldn't work as we post our user names... :hmmm:
I have 2 sheds and a cabin and quite honestly I'm appalled with myself, must get it sorted this year.

As someone without a shed or a cabin, can I ask, what makes a shed a shed, and a cabin a cabin? :dunce:
Hi Leo,
A shed is made out of tongue and groove, or wood which is layered in a ship lap effect around 12mm thick. A Cabin is made out of interlocking logs, or thick pieces of wood, mine are 40mm thick.
If I haven't made my self clear someone will be along to correct me.
Think of it this way, a shed is a shed and a Cabin is......a posh shed :D
Ian.
Two things come to mind ...
First, Tank is going to be a lot poorer soon (what is it ? £10 per vote ? Cheers >:D).
Second ... and very related to the first ... did anyone realise you can vote for the shed every day ...
Thank you once again. :)

:) No money I'm afraid! I hadn't realised that you could do that. Of course I don't think it's right, as it's cheating. ;) ;)
Added my vote - it's nice to see a good selection of sash cramps. You can't have too many clamps. My shed is a bit functional and is full of wood drying out, ready for turning in twelve months or so.

Ha ha just voted again, go for it Tank.
Thank you gents!
I agree Malc, a shed should be fully functional! :)
I've just had a photographer round my house from the Croydon Advertiser. :camera: :o I'll be in next weeks issue. The reporter that I spoke to on the phone yesterday said that he wanted me to wear a train hat... I told him that I'm not going down the 'anorak' route. It's a bit of fun, not a chance to make fun of someone else's hobby. Not everyone conforms to the socially acceptable route in life of drinking, clubbing, smoking and football. ::)

Ah, you'd have looked so cute. :P
As you say, they try to portray everyone with any interest in railways as anoraks. :(
Voted! Quite an achievement!
Thats a fantastic Shed Tank!... I love this thread and would love to see one about Shed's... I play at being a pretentious artist and call mine my "studio" :) I can be such a wally! :)
Seriously.. the shed is the last bastion of undiluted alone time manliness... somewhere to ponder while twiddling the beard, to scratch, and to hide the bottle of port! :)

And a block of the local dairy product. Cheese and Port (dribbles)
Chris, have voted as well, hope you have hidden the kettle, teabags etc so the local track gang don't climb the embankment looking for a brew.

Make sure he's from the advertiser, and make sure he doesn't want you to "just wear a hat" a lot of strange peeps out there, before you know it you will be in the next issue of "you can leave your hat on" :worried:
Talking about hats just chucked some in the hat for NGF as I have abused you all for that past couple of months.
Ian.
My vote is cast. Great shed. Nicer than my house... if you fancy a trip to York to give my terrace a makeover just let me know.
Vote cast as requested.
A very nice shed indeed, greatly enhanced by being in just the right colour scheme, i.e. B.R.(S.R.)
Hope it's put to very good use.
Regards
TimothyB
I have voted for you oh glorious leader

:smiley-laughing: Damn! I had hoped I'd got away with it not being online!!!! :worried: :D This is only small compared to the actual paper, and a different picture.
Suddenly felt quite guilty.
Have only ever voted once in general elections and never in council ones. Should do really.
Anyway, just voted for you. I know where my priorities lie.
Power to the :ngauge: party.
Good luck, weave

I do drink - water! :D I don't go clubbing, because I like baby seals. :hmmm: I've never smoked, except once when I set fire to my jumper. :oopssign: And I don't care about football, much prefer swimming and cycling. :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

And my vote too. Having had the pleasure of seeing it "in the flesh" the photos don't do it justice! (And I saw it in the rain!)
Thanks again everyone, and for the kind words there Chris. :)
I certainly vote for that!
Done:)
As a matter of interest, (and having voted more than once, or maybe more  ) when do we stop voting does this compition finish? :D
Thanks again, especially or the extra votes! :D The voting finishes on the 31st of May.
Excellent shed, Chris.
Voted accordingly.

Forgive me as have just woken up but how can you vote more than once? Is it on different computers as surely the organisers would smell a rat. Also, if you can on one computer, tank could just spend all day voting for himself.
Bit hungover too so as I said, please forgive if talking shed loads rubbish.
Will vote again if there is no problem.
Cheers weave
The website remembers that your IP Address voted that day, and then it resets the next. Unfortunately it poses a problem where I work, as when a few people have voted, then the rest of the workplace can't vote. ::)

Ooh I have about 9 IP addresses :claphappy: . When I used to work at an ISP we had about 64,000 !
:laughabovepost: That alone would give Tank more votes than the Uk will get in a certain "nil point" competition tonight!
:laughabovepost: :smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing: I think that would get me in trouble!!! :thankyousign:
Got my vote!
Was surprised it wasn't in NSE colours too!
The wife and I have both voted
Thank you very much! :) Not long to go now. :laugh3:
A couple more votes gone in.

Another vote for the shed! I have my fingers crossed.
One thought is why not make a shed look like a class 66 (shed!) ::) :laugh3:
