Title: Copydex or equivalent in Australia?
Post by: ToothFairy on July 02, 2011, 08:41:12 AM
I'm not as happy as I'd like to be with PVA, but I can't find an Australian retailer of Copydex. Can any Australian Forumites tell me of one, or of an alternative product? I've heard of using latex-based carpet adhesive, but I've not been able to locate a retailer of that either, so I'm in a bit of a bind either way  :( .

See http://www.modelrailforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7491&st=30

quote: "Bunnings sold two brands of equivelant product in the carpet adhesives section. The brand I chose was Dunlop."

I'm going to pick up some myself next time Im there...

Hope this helps!

Most emulsion paints are latex based and I have found that if I thin a suitable colour with three parts water to one part paint it works a treat. Just remember to use MATT emulsion or you get shiny ballast !!
