Title: Can anyone help, custom made decals
Post by: michael on April 22, 2013, 09:20:55 PM
Hi all

Im looking for someone who can make some custom decals for me. I tried contacting Cambrain Driver Dave, (who I think has the technology?) the other day but Ive had no replie, perhaps hes away at the moment?

Thanks

What do you need? I can do white-backed vinyls but not actual decals. At least, I will be able to when my cutter comes back from the factory...

Failing that, try John Peck at Precision Labels.

Hi Adam

Most of what Im after is linnings and logos to go on top of existing paintwork for example, the yellow linning on the bottom of a WCRC MK1 pullman.

Precision labels is probabley my best bet

Thanks

Do they do requests? I know precision labels do as they have done for me before.

I must say that for actual decals, Precision Labels are brilliant.  I've just been using them for the first time on a current project.

I understand from someone at the Swindon model railway club that Robbies Rolling Stock do custom sheets of transfers -

I was told that he sent through a sheet of designs and Robbie printed them out. Drop him a quick e-mail and see what he says? I must admit that I have only ever got his regular transfers from the lists on his website, but they are great and his service is pretty quick too!

Quote from: Only Me on April 22, 2013, 09:43:54 PMHave you tried fox transfers?
Fox Transfers will only consider bulk orders

I currently have a customised order with railtec-models.com
Allow 2 business days for a response to your email query
Their modern range image is continually growing and is on a par with Fox Transfers
Equally I have just sent photos to Fox Transfers of some failed transfers, not impressed

I can also vouch for Railtec Models. Very helpful and good transfers. Unfortunately he is now quite busy so be prepared to wait a few days when contacting him.

Or a few weeks at the moment it seems from the milk van enquiry  :(

Good for them though - the quality is excellent so they deserve to be busy, and they've been honest about not being able to do stuff quickly. Far too many other vendors don't.
