Best bet is to ask DCC supplies.

So email them and ask ? I don't know any of the UK spares suppliers who lists all their spares online. Same with BR Lines - you need to phone/email and ask.

hi alan... i did this im afraid and came up empty handed. im really surprised they are not available as spares as they are easily damaged. i can't be the only person with a very sorry looking loco.

You may have already tried it but have you thought of posting of Dapol's Facebook page or asking Dapol direct either via phone or their website.

hi whiteswan ... i have, and joel at dapol was really helpful. he sent me buffers some but they were of the wrong pattern..oval as opposed to round and the shanks were different too. he told me not to give up hope but this a good while back, three weeks or more,  and now i really am starting to give up hope. i suppose im going to have to wait to see if these parts become available as spares. if they dont its £85 down the drain.

If you are willing to do a spot more work then you can probably clean up the relevant bits of the buffer beam and fit brass buffers to the correct pattern. BH Enterprises, TPM and the like have a pretty good range of buffers.

The NGS and N Brass Locos also do brass buffers.  Different sizes are available so if you can measure a buffer before ordering.
