TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF ELECTRA RAILWAY GRAPHICS
I regret to announce that, due to ongoing issues with the cutting machine, I am unable to continue production of Electra Railway Graphics vinyls.
At this stage, I am unable to give an estimate as to when any sort of production will resume.
As a stopgap, I will be making a thorough inventory of those items already printed and list these for sale on the website.
Please note that I cannot take any orders until further notice.
As soon as I am able to re-establish a reliable service, I shall make an announcement on the Yahoogroup, Facebook and popular forums.
:'( :'( :'(
Good luck with getting it sorted and up and running soon Adam.
Mark
I've contacted the retailer to arrange repair. Will keep you all informed.
Ditto, hope you get it sorted soon. Was about to contact you re HST FGW vinyls and how good a match are they to the Dapol livered versions as I've given up all hope of completing my rake by buying RTR coaches and was thinking of buying and re-livering other regions.
I hope you can get this problem resolved soon.
cheers John.
Good luck Adam. Hope you get sorted out soon.
I hope you resolve all your problems very soon, Adam
Really sorry to hear of Adams problems with his machine at Elektra Railway Graphics. A great loss of brilliant products and service. Hopefully for a very short time. I'm sure we all wish him the very best. :sorrysign:
That's a bit of a downer Adam.
Can you let me know what graphics you have in RTC colours please buddy??
Cheers
Neal.
Hope you manage to get things sorted soon Adam.
Just as I was about to use your products....
Hope it all gets sorted out for you soon, must be frustrating especially as it is now down to waiting on others.
Good Luck !
I've started making an inventory of stock already done and will have this on-line tomorrow. There's a fair bit, so hopefully something might catch the eye.

I've been using Electra Graphics Vinyls for a few years now
It's good to see a Sole Trader that moves with the times and is continually updating
However, it also shows the tightrope that one simple technical problem can throw for a small business
Adam has been kind enough to complete some bespoke items for me (although I think the less said about the most recent one the better; note to Adam, still awaiting a replacement)
I was about to place my next order, probably my last as the next generation of Farish coaches is about to be released, but will put this off for about 4 weeks
I hope you get a satisfactory solution to the cutter problems, Adam.
Being purely selfish - I hope you get it sorted.
I have only used your products once but found them brilliant. I am hoping to build more Class 465's (at least 3) and will be hoping to come to you for the vinyls...
So good luck Adam on getting it sorted. I know it must be frustrating but stick with it. I hope it all works out for you. We (the N Gauge community) need the products you supply...
About time I shared what's happening with Electra on this august forum (though if you've been following my Facebook feed, you'll have a good idea).
I have been put in touch with a firm of printers who are able to take my artwork and print and cut it onto clear vinyl (including [printing in white). I have been to-ing and fro-ing some artworks and the results are, quite frankly, stunning. As a result, I have decided to outsource all my printing, leaving me more time to concentrate on development and modelling, rather than struggling with sheets of vinyl and cutting machines!
Price-wise, I should be able to keep things pretty much the same and I can still take small one-off jobs (though there may be an extra cost here). I'm still waiting to find out exactly how much the various bits will be.
Quality wise, it is a BIG step forward - the clear film for the windows allows me to add details like windscreen wipers, no smoking signs and window bars. It materis is much thinner than before and the white edges are hardly noticable now.
Here's a look at a 4-VEP...

Great news! The 4-VEP looks stunning
Good to hear you have found a workable solution to your woes of recent
cheers John.
This development makes sense as it will probably be required for the latest coach bodies
However, the finer detail should be left to the modeller, unless there is an option to include / exclude them
I personally would exclude the window stickers as I add these to each coach individually, as they are often in differing locations or missing
Good to see you back Adam. Our hobby needs people like you.. Thank You.. :claphappy:
Looking good Adam - that VEP looks great! It's nice when what appears to be a disaster turns into an opportunity to take a significant step forward.
Great news Adam. The 4-VEP vinyls look great.
I shall be putting my order in shortly... :beers:

Here, here. :claphappy:
Very nice indeed - I like the little no smoking signs. BTW if your friendly printer can do it you should be able to lose the white edge entirely by getting the white ink mask running almost but not quite to the colour edge. It will depend if their printing kit can do partial white layers or has to white under everything else or nothing.

Adam, that looks superb, delighted to hear you are progressing, that sounds like a mega breakthrough!!!!
SImon
Great news, Adam.
Here's to a new future :beers:
