Title: Minitrix Warship D825 Intrepid
Post by: Dancess on April 07, 2013, 07:15:11 PM
Hi,
Don't know if this is right place to post but would like info on a boxed Minitrix Warship that have just found in a cupboard, ran first time!!! It is unlike other Minitrix Warships I've owned or seen in that the bodywork by the wheels doesn't swing as part of the bogie but is part of the actual body. Any help appreciated  :)

Also found a copy of Modern Railways Pictorial, Profile : 12 The Warships from Feb/April 1986, takes me back  ;D

My Minitrix Warship is also Intrepid. The reference number on the box is N.208. But I can't follow what you mean about the bodywork so I can't tell whether mine is the same as yours. Any chance of a photo so i can compare?

Rob

Hi, Have tried taking photo but not clear so will try again when wife lets me use her DSLR! What I mean is that the valence at either end is part of the body and not the bogie, if that's any help!  :confused2:
Have a look at them on Fleabay.

The later ones were improved in this way. It's still vastly over scale. I'm not surprised it just ran. They are good solid construction - proper job.

Many thanks to all for the information and interest.  :thankyousign:

Seem to remember that bought it s/h from Modellers Mecca in the late 80s so the model has lasted longer than the real loco.  ;D

Etched hope that stock taking goes well. Will have to buy a SR bogie Van off you at sometime but putting it together is a different problem  :confused1:
