Sorry if this isn't the right area as I suspect it is more to do with my pc...
My laptop recently died and I bought a netbook to replace it. Since then clicking on any embedded links to videos on the site gives me the sound but the area where the picture should be is blank.
The netbook is a Packard Bell running Windows 7 (starter), Intel Atom N2600 processor, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3600, 1GB DDR3 memory and a 320GB HD.
I think I am maybe missing a vital plug or something to allow me to view video but any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
:thankyousign:
Hi Eddie,
I have a feeling it may well be you need to download and install some codecs.
You can find them here:

cheers John.
Many thanks John
After a bit more playing around it looks like it is only Youtube links that are a problem so I'll look through the link you have given me.
Thanks again
Eddie
The numpty is back...
I've tried updates including Adbobe Flashplayer and can play Youtube links from other sites (eg RMweb/Vulcan to the Sky etc) but still seem to have problems with those in this site (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=12607.0 (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?topic=12607.0) is one example).
Sound but no picture... :(
I assume it must be something particular to my PC but I'm at a loss as to why :-[
That link you posted is a video without sound but it did play for me although it took a refresh of the page to do so.
Have you tried clicking on the blue writing under the frame, this would open the video in You Tube.
cheers John.
Hi John
That worked (trying to find the 'mega blushy' smiley), told you I was a numpty!
Many thanks
kind regards
Eddie
