Title: DCC fittings
Post by: Agrippa on April 01, 2013, 01:42:09 AM
Just a question - are the DCC fittings for 00 different to those
for N gauge, apart from physical size to put them in a loco?

Depending on what you mean by "fittings" then generally the answer is No. It's all about size ! and decoder ratings.

They follow the same wiring protocol etc. Controllers are no different and all recent stuff falls under the NMRA guidelines

I thought they were
With N gauge being 6 pin only
and OO gauge being 8 or 21 pin

That's why I asked for an expansion on "fittings".

I agree most of the N Socket type have only six pin.
