Yep, the good news is I managed to get N Gauge Forum mentioned on BBC Radio 2 this morning :claphappy:
The bad news is it was shortly before 4.30am, but you can't have everything :D
Driving about in the wee small hours I regularly listen to Alex Lester's programme, which consists of all sorts of interactive sillyness just for a laugh. On fridays he gets people to text in why it's a "feelgood friday" for them. If you go to the following link to "listen again" it's at about 2:25 in:-

There was a bit of gentle ribbing but all in good fun
Paul
Nice - next stop hollywood!
Took a bit of getting to the spot, but finally heard the clip. Nice one Paul, fame at last. I used to be a regular listener, but since I retired, I sleep a bit later.
Are you sure it was you, Paul - there was no mention of a HST or a Sierra
Likewise I must have heard the same part of 'I'm a believer' many times before getting to the clip and it was worth it. Great job Paul - well done :claphappy: :claphappy:
Nice one Paul, well done for sacrificing yourself in the name of the N Gauge Forum, he did give you a bit of stick didn't, rotten guy.
:beers:
"Is N gauge bigger than 00?". Another reason to be known as The Dark Lord.
I think by some of the comments he made he might like to go to Ally Pally - providing no one saw him!
:NGF:
He did add later in the programme that the Producer had been online and found that N Gauge is actually SMALLER than the 00 he had as a child :D
Paul
Well done Sprintex! Just the sort of thing we need. :music:
Here is the clip that will save you all searching through the programme for it ;)
You may need to turn your volume up a bit :-[

Well Done! :NGF:
Nice one, Paul! :claphappy:
I heard this at 4:30 this morning just after booking on as I was driving to the depot to take my train out...
Nearly sprayed my tea all over the windscreen in the car. Well done that man...
"Do You Wear A Hat" course he does!!
Comes with the horse ! Ye Haw ;)
Looks like your routing to be picked as the next NGF forum moderator! :P :D
Joking aside well done
It may surprise you to know that the NGF has some famous people all ready here amongst us, one of which is a very well renowned BBC journalist ;)
Isnt a certain ex House Party host also a member? !!!

Well, I sent Alex a lengthy e-mail over the weekend answering his questions, not much expecting it to get mentioned. At 3.30 this morning he read nearly all of it out! :D
Starts at 1:30 in if anyone wants to listen:-

Got some acknowledgement for our female modellers  and those "other halves" that don't post on here but are nonetheless just as involved one way or another including my misses, and yes the NGF got mentioned again! :laugh2:
Good on you Mr Lester for being so interactive with your listeners :beers:
Paul
Well done Paul, that was a good mention and hopefully clearing up a few myths about our hobby
cheers John.
A very good email Paul, well done and fair play to Alex too!
I wonder if Alex is excited that he's got a mention on the NGF? Has anyone told him? Should we send in a screen shot? :NGF:
You tell 'em Paul! :D Now, where's my hat and whistle..... :smiley-laughing:
Thanks for putting Alex on the right track, Paul
Just listened to the two clips.
Brilliant!
Well done.
Careful Paul, you'll be getting a regular slot on Alex Lester's show. Seriously though, a good bit of publicity for the forum.
