hello wise one's, some advice please. As I have 9" radius on my layout, would a 2 -6 -0 Ivatt, or similar run on this? As far as i am aware, to try and be "true" to the Taunton to Barnstaple line, 2 -6 -0's and 2 -6 -2's were frequently to be seen, having run from waterloo or Taunton, some through to Ilfracombe. Owing to some bridges and the terrain, speed and weight restrictions applied, so as i would like to run a 2 -6 -0 with some coaches, i could get away with 2, or 3 coaches if i don't use a summer timetable scenario. i have a rake of 4 wheel coaches to replicate local traffic and the usual mixed freight. Any advice will be most welcome. with thanks Rodders
Hi Rodders,
I have no problems with running my Farish 4MT 2-6-0 and any make of 2-6-2T round 9" curves
hello, newport nobby, thanks for the reply that is good news for me! To save me reading about another ten books could you advise what model coaches, about 1954-1957ish to look out for please? with many thanks and regards Rodders
Hi Rodders
Eras 4 and 5 cover the dates you mention.
Try going to Hattons and use their useful date/era selector to see most if not all that's available for the periods that interest you.

Hi Rodders,
The Farish website carries the era numbers next to the models but don't assume era 4 = 1940's etc. Jerry is correct in that the Bulleids due for release will be perfect for your setting.
