Title: Lifecolor Acrylics and Micro-sol
Post by: davieb on March 03, 2013, 09:43:45 PM
Hi all

Just found out the hard way
Don't use Micro-Sol on un-varnished Lifecolor acrylic paint  ???
It acts just like paint stripper  :'(  :'(

i had forgotten to apply a layer of varnish to the paint before applying some decals
and the Micro-Sol caused the paint to bubble and lift  :veryangry:

I just hope this post will prevent someone else having the same problem  :-[

I should be able to sort things out without resorting to a strip down of the paintwork
and re-paint  :-\

Anyway it was on a 009 Loco for my Father  :-[
It has been a nightmare of a kit from beginning to end hopefully this will be the last problem  :worried:

Or it's going in the fish tank as a Loco that went off the end of the jetty  >:D  :D
