Title: Temporary Closure of Taylor Precision Models
Post by: BernardTPM on February 28, 2013, 11:47:28 AM
Due to an impending move, I have decided that I will have to temporarily close TPM until I have moved to a new address. I can't tell you where that will be yet as I don't know myself! The closure will take effect from 25th March 2013. I hope to be able to restart by the end of May, but that will have to depend on circumstances.
The website will remain as it is and my e-mail will not be changing, however there may be delays in replying to any e-mails during April as I may not have daily access to the Web for a while.
My apologies for this.

Thank you all for your support. I'm hoping once all this is done I'll be in a better and more organised position to press on with new and existing products. Fingers crossed!

I'm afraid I have to move the 'last orders' deadline forward to Saturday 16th March as the sheer enormity of the task looms over me!
Thanks all for the continued support and patience.

I'm sorry to say the move has been a complete disaster. A lot of stock has been lost but the full extent won't be clear until I move into the new house and unpack and assess.

Very sorry to hear that, Bernard :(
Do you mean 'lost' or just lost in the hurly burly that accompanies any household move i.e. it will turn up when all the boxes have been unpacked?

I.m afraid lost as in never to be seen again - I don't know exactly what has been saved, but I can think of plenty that is now landfill.

That's really bad news. I am sorry!

Hopefully you still have the 'masters', tooling or moulds.

Bernie,

I'm very sorry to hear of this, but I hope the 1st phone call you made was to the removals company to tell them your 2nd phone call is to a Solicitor and sueing them for loss of earnings etc.

In this instance, thank goodness for the compensation culture   :confused1:

Regards

Neal.

Oh no, that's terrible!  :sorrysign:

If it's not too painful a subject, what has been lost? Molds, masters? I second the advice above that you should consider legal action.

Bernard,
So sorry to hear this, its' the last thing you need. As moving goes its' the thin end of the wedge. The removals firm sound like idiots! What the hell were they playing at! If you need anything, let me know.

Carl :confused1: :(  :o :'(

Thanks to everyone for your words of support. Without wishing to sound negative the removals people were hardly to blame as they were faced with someone less than half ready to move a lifetime. I was put in an impossible situation, allieviated only by the support and help of a good number of friends and neighbours without whom things could have been even worse. As far as I know very few (possibly no) masters have been lost but I believe a large number of plastic and some resin mouldings have, along with packaging materials and personal family and model items. I won't know exactly what the situation is until everything is sorted through when (I hope) I move into the new house in about 3 to 4 weeks.

Hello Bernard

That is very good news about your masters.

Good luck - I hope things turn out not to be quite as bad as they may appear right now!

cheers
