Friends,
For my last attempt at building a layout I found a plastic based sloping desk type enclosure witha n Aluminium lid that I tried unsuccessfully to fit all the controller and CDU and point switches into as a base.
I lost it when we moved in 2007 and searching the internet is proving more of a minefield than I ever imagined.
I have visited Maplins, RS Components, BOSS ABS enclosures and one other but something that is about 12" inches long by 4 inches high by 10"inches deep is proving elusive!
Does anyone have any suggestions as to the possibility of a supplier?
Regards Peter.
I think i know what you mean, have you tried C.E.F (City Electrical Factors)?
They have branches all over the UK, just google the name for your nearest branch. You can walk in the branch as they are open to the public. They also have a website.
If they have what you need, i would get them to order it into your nearest branch, then pay cash/card on collection.
Hope this helps, meanwhile if i spot anything on the web myself i will let you know.
Good Luck in finding it.
Hello Peter,
Have you considered making one from plasticard?
As it comes in A4 sheets it would give you 11¾" x 8¼" and come in various thicknesses.
cheers John.
Have you looked at either of these:-

Thankyou, I found precisely what I was looking for on the Conrad web site and have ordered my new console!
Many thanks, Peter.
