Title: Farish Mk1 pullman liverys
Post by: michael on February 23, 2013, 05:58:19 PM
Hi there

Im looking at the Farish Mk1's in blue and grey and wondering, did they ever run in any other variation of this livery, such as the Mk2 livery where only the window surrounds were blue and the doors were the same grey as the rest of the body.

I want to recreate this train compleate with blue class 86 but if the grey door livery was only on the mk2's then I need to start trying to find some of those.

Thanks

The Farish Mk1 Pullmans are available in the reverse BR Blue/Grey livery that they carried from the early 70s onwards. Some of the coaches did receive normal BR Blue/Grey at the end of their careers in the early 80s but there is no model, as yet.

For the WCML, you want the Mk2-based Pullmans that worked from Euston to Liverpool and Manchester until the mid 1980s. Whilst there is nothing available ready to run, I produce vinyl overlays that can be used to easily convert the Farish Mk2 coach.

Hi Adam

Thanks for that.

I was hoping to find that a mk1 appeared in the livery in your picture, as opposed to having blue doors like the farisk mk1's.

As you say its mk2s that I want, think I have a few virgin ones in the cupboard so I guess here goin to get a rub down soon.
