There must be a small number, but I guess they are oddities rather than the norm.

One obvious example is the Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey branch line which is single track and electrified.  Passenger only and operated by a class 321 EMU.

Cheers, Mike

There are quite a few in the Glasgow electrified area
There is also a dual track line, with one line electrified, between Ardrossan and Hunterston (Fairlie)

All these get passenger trains (EMUs)

Overhead:
Redditch - Barnt Green (S. of Birmingham)
Bearsden - Westerton (Glasgow)
Glossop Triangle (Manchester)
Lanark Branch (Glasgow)

Third rail (Southern Region):
Ash Vale - Frimley
Dorchester - Wool
Various tunnels on the Tonbridge - Hastings line (singled when line was electrified)
Farnham - Bentley and Bentley - Alton

There are single-line sections of the Ely-Kings Lynn line that are electrified.

The single track Lymington branch was electified as part of the Bournemouth electification in the late 1960's and electric trains still run at weekends using class 450 units.

The section between Newhaven and Seaford is now single track.

Until 5 years ago I lived 5 minutes up the road from the North Watford stop and often enjoyed the little scenic route to St Albans Abbey.

It had DMU's running when I first bought my house there. Electrified, so I'm reminded by Wiki, in 1988. How time flies!

The Abbey BTW is at the top of the hill; the station's at the bottom!

Don't I know it - I hiked down to the Abbey station after the St Albans show. Well worth it for a ride on a LM 321 and zoom into Euston afterwards. Much more fun than Thameslink.

The Sutton to Epsom Downs line is now only single track from approaching Belmont to Epsom Downs. Another Southern EMU route

These last two are unidirectional terminal loops, not sure that they should qualify.

While on the underground:
Epping - Ongar (closed, now preserved)
Holborn - Aldwych (closed)

The Fareham to Botley line is prone to flooding. There used to be a double track line that avoided the Funtley tunnels but this flooded even more and so they kept the single track line.

I don't know the Sheerness line, but most of the others I know pretty well - especially the Moreton/Dorchester South line. Have been held up many times waiting for a train to clear the single track. The line needs a stronger power supply before it could be upgraded to double track.

Don't forget the Paisley Canal Branch in Scotland which was only electrified in December last year. Also the section between Crewe South Junction and Barthomley Junction on the Kidsgrove line is only single track. Another little quirk is the section between Deansgate Junction and Altrincham Station where the Metrolink and NR lines now operate as parallell single lines but were originally double track electrified at 1500V DC but then converted to 25Kv AC. What is now the Metrolink line kept the 25KV AC system for a short while after the separation before Metrolink took over.
