Its a shame, thoughts go to his friends and family. I heard that he became ill a few months ago after eating a dodgy oyster
Apparently it poisoned him that badly that doctors gave him only a few months left to live, hence his untimely death.
Sad news.

Apparently the dodgey oyster was in 2007. Since then he has had heart bypasses and a bout of e-coli. See BBC News Web site for details :- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21123532 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-21123532)

No problem with that, we all have our likes and dislikes  ;)

Personally I think it's another sad loss of one of those very rare people, especially in todays society, who said what he thought and if you didn't like it - tough! At least you know where you stand with people like that, rather than sniping behind backs which seems to be the norm these days (in life generally I mean, not on here  ).

An angel he may not have been, but he was a damn good film director and got under the skin of a lot of the snotty establishment - good on him!  :beers:

RIP Mr Winner Sir

Paul

Just waiting for the raft of don't panic dear jokes that will follow
It was interesting to hear him speak about the ethos of his films.
