Just wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
I will be taking a break from the hobby and the forum for a while, I will be keeping all my gear and layouts as no doubt I will eventually find some interest in the hobby further down the track. at the moment I seem to be going through the motions with little or no enthusiasm.
Buying a couple of Shortwave Radios so I will return to my long lost hobby of Shortwave DXing, it will be nice to put the headphones on and listen to music from around the world also listen to the Ham Radio blokes waffling on about their gear and antennas.
Maybe back sometime in the future but until then have fun keep healthy and enjoy the hobby.
I know how you feel, i've been there before - we'll see you again when you get your N gauge mojo back !
Have a good Christmas Dave ! (Oldrailbug)
Good luck!
They say a change is as good as a rest. Don't be a stranger too long Dave.

Take it easy Dave and best wishes for the New Year. Nothing wrong with short wave, mate. I'll pull out my receiver and have a listen for you!
Hey, I never got the blue pullman set I wanted for Christmas, but I did get an RC helicopter with video camera on board! So I thought that I might be away from trains for a bit too - however after a few initial attempts at flying it this morning, maybe not.....
Come back soon, buddy.
:beers: Cheers George
Getting away from model railways is not easy George :help: I have never received as many railway related gifts at Christmas as I did this year, I got scenery items, Calenders, British Steam Coffee Mugs, and a beautiful AE Williams "Flying Scotsman" pewter pocket watch on a chain, even more of a surprise is 3 Farish Steam locos from England that didn't arrive on time that I knew nothing about :claphappy:
Maybe my rest from the hobby will be quite short lived
QuoteI have never received as many railway related gifts at Christmas as I did this year
Maybe the Gods are trying to tell you something ! :bounce: :bounce:
Sure hope so, Dave. Maybe you can pursue both hobbies! Seems a shame to waste those new Farish locos... see how you feel when they arrive. Remember, it's a hobby, not a job - do whatever gives you enjoyment. I know that the restoration of my own layout isn't going anywhere near as fast as it could... some days when I actually have time to work on it, I just can't be bothered with it. We all have our spells.
See what the New Year brings... good health, most importantly!
Cheers, George
