Well SWMBO woke me up with her snoring at 4am this morning, it is now 4.20am and the birds are starting to sqwawk and sing the sun is starting to light the Eastern sky.
You can all now look forward to Christmas and running your new train stuff on your layouts, as for the looneys that think that the sun wont come up today they can go play with themselves like they usually do.
Er - sorry, but it's due to end at 11:11am Leeds time (trust the bl00dy Yorkshire people to make sure it ends on their watch :D)
You 'southerners' will just have to wait a while until proper time-keeping gets around to it :P
Mike
I thought I would save my money, in case it all ended as predicted, and not buy any pressies. Don't know what I thought I would have done with the money, though. Looks like I will be panic buying again this year.

I doubt that the ancient Mayans had ever heard of Leeds and considering the fact that the Mayans lived in the Southern Hemisphere I think the Yorkshire folks need to calm down a little :D :D
Hmmm.........I'm beginning to wonder if there might be something in this 'the end is nigh' forecast.
With all this heavy rain that we have been getting here in the UK has anyone, in their travels around and about, noticed someone building an enormous wooden ship-like structure, which on reflection, might look like an Ark? And did it look as if the contents of a zoo was hanging around close-by?
If the answer to these two questions is yes then......PANIC!
Typical Aussie, doesn't believe it can be true if it's in the Home Country :laughabovepost:
Have a look here - my apologies, I thought it was leeds ... but it's still Summer Wine country :beers: http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/maya (http://www.timeanddate.com/countdown/maya)
Well said, Dave - but you Queenslanders don't have daylight saving like us enlightened New South Welshmen, so it's always dark early up there!
:worried: I think it might be starting off already down in Hampshire.
Mrs Jonclox collapsed, turned grey and went 'floppy' about 6-30pm tonight.
Ambulance came and worked their magic and we seem to have respite for now but they agree we might need to call them back later.
It could be just the noravirus starting its rampage. :worried:
I do hope Mrs J is OK. Take care down there in Hampshire.
